Summer
Solstice - Daily Inspiration
Friday, June 20, 2008 6:30 -
9:00 PM
For those of you who suspect an
inner strength that has gotten
you this far, through grace or
luck, wisdom or self-awareness,
you can learn how to draw on
those inner resources ON
PURPOSE. Attention to a few
small things in the moment
creates the potential for many
peaceful returns, even when
things continue to be difficult.
Using what is right in front of
you at any particular moment can
bring a new perspective,
acceptance and understanding.
Intention to do so is essential.
Living ON PURPOSE, no matter
what the circumstances, empowers
us to live the life we choose.
This evening is an opportunity
to connect with others who are
having the same difficulty,
learn from each other, share
compassion for each other and
walk away feeling lighter and
stronger.
If you are visibly pregnant, we
respectfully ask that you not
attend this event. We wish you a
healthy and peaceful pregnancy,
a smooth, fast delivery, and a
happy, healthy, tiny new person
who will be the light of your
life! Women who have a history
of difficult conception have
much to share. If you are no
longer on this journey, but
would like to come, we
appreciate your guidance and
wisdom.
Arrive between 6:30-7:00 for
introductions, questions and
settling in for the evening. At
7:00 we’ll begin exploring daily
events that we might use to
observe ourselves, to inspire,
and to learn from. We will
practice Mindfulness, cultivate
stillness, ask questions, help
each other and practice some
more.
6:30 – 7:00 Arrive,
meet others, ask questions, set
intentions
7:00 – 8:00 Find
Inspiration every day, explore,
practice
8:00 – 9:00 Q&A,
Discussion

NUTRITION
The Environmental Working Group
(www.ewg.org)
has updated their Guide of
pesticides in fruits and
vegetables. Peaches have outdone
strawberries as the highest
pesticide load, followed by
apples, sweet bell peppers,
celery, nectarines and then
strawberries. There is a lot
that we don’t know about the
impact of environmental toxins
on our bodies and less about how
it affects our reproductive
capabilities. But why take the
risk? We cut back on caffeine
and alcohol to increase our
chances of pregnancy. We take
prenatal vitamins to better
nourish our body so that we can
conceive. Let’s also reduce our
intake of toxins in whatever way
we can.
Go to:
www.ewg.org.
Select SHOPPER’S GUIDE TO
PESTICIDES IN PRODUCE. Take this
guide with you to the grocery.
You deserve a healthy, energetic
body, whether you are trying to
conceive or not. If you’re
cutting back
on caffeine, alcohol and sugar,
may as well cut back on
pesticides, eh?
Much more information is
available on this website
concerning environmental toxins
in water, fish, pet foods. The
electronic newsletter is free.
The monthly publication is also
very informative.
